BPworkshop2006 - ROMAworkshop | 18 - 24 JUNE 2006

The BPworkshop - international architecural workshop event in this yeear will be organized as the first part of an international workshop series which will take place in 5 countries (Hungary-Budapest, Romania-Bucharest, Spain-Sevilla, France-Rouen, Italy-Rome).

We will be dealing with the situation of the Roma ethnical minority groups in these 5 countries.
We will be analyzing mainly the architectural aspects of the given city's Roma culture.

The workshop will ... an open day and a one week long teamwork. The place of the workshop will be traditionally the TRAFO - House of Contemporary Arts.

On the open day - 19 JUNE - we will be given an overall picture by the specialists of the different fields dealing with this topic. Among these we will have relevant cultural events, which are going to provide the foreigner and Hungarian participants with the recent situation of the gipsy minority in Budapest.

The effective 5 day workshop will start on the following day which will deal with a particular area. The teams will be guided by 2-3 tutors.

The projects created during the week will be shown in a public presentation in the 24 June.
